MEET DR. DJUANA CARTILLAR

Dr. Cartillar

Dr. Djuana Cartillar grew up in Bald Knob, Arkansas. She attended Lyon's College in Batesville, then attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1993. She practiced general/family dentistry for nine years in Forrest City before her dream of becoming a pediatric dentist came into fruition. Dr. Cartillar left the general dental field in 2002 to serve as a pediatric dental resident for 24 months at the University of Tennessee. During residency she trained at LeBonnher Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Crittenden Memorial Hospital, and the Arlington Developmental Facility. When she graduated in 2004, she worked in Jonesboro as a pediatric dentist for two years. In 2004, she finally realized her dream of opening Pediatric Dentistry of Eastern Arkansas in Forrest City. Since this time, she has opened an additional clinic in West Memphis to better serve the children of Eastern Arkansas.

Dr. Cartillar is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Association, Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association. She is on staff at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro and the Forrest City Medical Hospital.

Dr. Cartillar is married with two children, Jayme and Tori, who are very active in church and sports. She enjoys watching her son, Jayme, compete in baseball and his many other sporting interests, and she enjoys watching her daughter, Tori, compete on her horse during barrel races. Dr. Cartillar's other interest include working with the children in her church, gardening, cooking, photography, and horseback riding. Dr. Cartillar adds her personal touch of beauty and creativity, whatever the activity, from making a two layered coconut cake to digitally integrating her photographs to make collages and unique photo albums.



Meet Dr. Ashton Monks

Dr.Monks

Dr. Ashton Monks received her undergraduate degree in Spanish from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Tennessee Society of Pediatric Dentistry Award and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Award.

Dr. Ashton is a family dentist who limits her practice with us by just seeing children and young adults. Her goal is to provide quality service to her patients while maintaining a fun, relaxed environment. She is also an affiliate member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Ashton lives with her husband Dr. Christopher Marshall in Marion, Arkansas, and they have one dog daughter named Pearl. She enjoys weight training, reading, and crafting.
